Metal Roofing

Metal roofing has been used as a roofing material since the 18th century, and metal roofs in that time were made of copper, lead and zinc.

Although this trend lasted decades, metal roofs were very expensive to build with these materials so they were replaced with more affordable materials.

Metal roofs made of aluminum, copper, steel and tin are now coming back in style. Some of the most popular today are those made out of Galvalume Steel or those that are Galvanized. They are extremely sturdy. In fact, Galvalume roofs are used frequently in the South where hurricanes occur most often.
